Christian A. Jenkins
Christian A. Jenkins (Chris) is a founding partner in Minnillo & Jenkins Co. LPA. Chris attended the Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Wisconsin Law School, and received his J.D. with high honors. Chris has been working in private practice for fourteen years and devotes his work primarily to complex civil litigation on behalf individuals and class actions.
While in law school, Chris was awarded the American Bar Association's award for excellence in labor and employment law. After law school, Chris worked in the labor and employment and litigation departments of a national law firm headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he represented Fortune 500 corporations in a variety of matters.
Since moving to Cincinnati in 1998, Chris has been involved in a variety of significant, high profile cases. For example, he was instrumental in the recent settlements of class actions against Cincinnati Bell Wireless for wrongful roaming charges and the settlement of a class action against the former Peoples Bank of Northern Kentucky arising out of the Erpenbeck scandal. In addition, he was co-lead counsel in a class action on behalf of 1,400 Hispanic workers at an Ohio meat packing company that resulted in a substantial settlement and long term monitoring of working conditions at the plant. Cervantes v. Sugar Creek Packing Co., 210 F.R.D. 611 (S.D.Ohio 2002).
Chris also helped approximately 70 transportation workers employed by the City of Lebanon School Board to break away from an oppressive union to form their own locally-controlled union, and he continues to represent the new association.
More recently, Chris has been a leader in the innovative field of information security and data breach law. Chris was lead counsel in the class action against the Ohio Secretary of State that resulted in the redaction of social security numbers from millions of state records and he has played a central role in several similar cases in Ohio and on a national level.
Chris has been featured on WCPO's website as one of the best local attorneys in the labor and employment area and has been repeatedly recognized as a Rising Star of Cincinnati's legal community in Cincinnati Magazine. Chris lives in Cincinnati with his wife, a university professor, and his two daughters.
